What Parents are Saying:

“Just getting to connect with someone else who understands how my child needs to be taught in order to make progress in his math learning. It has been very isolating and lonely up until conversations with Laura that showed me the common ground that I share with other parents of dyscalculic kids. On top of that, feeling like I am finally doing something to help my kid with their learning difference, starting with the foundation to have a true understanding is really great."

_____

"There were many things that were helpful: Having the lesson plans laid out for me saved me hours and hours of reading and planning and possibly going in the wrong direction if I were to tackle it on my own; your support and direction; hearing other's experiences."

_____

"This has been fantastic! I love the prepared lessons. It has also been very helpful to connect with the other parents. I don't have any other feedback other than I want to keep going with this... It's much easier for me to tutor them with this activity based math vs. taking them to someone else."

_____

"I truly appreciate your lessons. It’s really helped my confidence."

for Parents:

Receive personal support and learn alongside your student with number-sense intervention lessons and activities you can do at home with your student.

How does this work? We meet weekly in a small group coaching call with 3-6 parents. I will walk you through a number-sense lesson plan and activities to do with your student, check in on how the activities are going at home, answer any questions, and provide guidance for supporting and understanding your child.

Who is this for? Parents with a dyscalculic child who would like personalized support and help with number-sense support at home. The target age of students is 6-13. (Contact me if your child is older to discuss.) Requires no teaching experience or love of math.

What is the format? We will meet on Zoom weekly for 1.5 hour sessions, for 6-weeks. Additional resources, activity videos, and private podcast are provided through a private online platform, Circle.co.

What materials will we be using? The lesson plans follow content mostly from Exploring Numbers through Dot Patterns (by Ronit Bird), with some material from other books by UK dyscalculia experts. We will cover foundational math concepts dyscalculics don't innately understand - critical concepts that keep them from grasping grade level math.

When will we meet? Meeting times are determined by group availability with new cohorts beginning January 2025.

What is the cost? The 6 weeks of group consult support plus lesson plans and activities is $600. Pay in full, or in 2 monthly installments of $300. You will need some basic learning materials (less than $20, depending on what you already have at home), and Ronit Bird's ebook ($12).

How much will this save me? Working with your own child can you thousands of dollars in tutoring costs. Plus you will learn so much in this process about your child's experience.

Is this for you? If we have not recently met for a consult appointment, a 60-minute Consult Call ($150) with me first is required so we can discuss your situation before joining the group.
